MIKE SOUTHON bsc

directed by Andy Morahan Each member of the band was strapped to the end of the camera crane where the weights went. i was at the other end of the crane with my camera. Malcolm Sheehan, my grip who built the rig, would start the crane spinning on its pivot and make either my end or the performers end rise and fall against the circular set. There was also a lighting rig with front and back light rigged at the performer's end to maintain beauty lighting wherever we were in the circle. it was pretty exhilarating ride. We shot many takes and i remember driving home from the studio with the world feeling as if it was spinning.
