IN FOND MEMORY OF DAVID WHEATLEY
This an abridged version of a 60 minute film I made with director David Wheatley about the great Argentinian writer Jorge Luis Borges for Alan Yentob’s Arena series on BBC TV. We shot the film in London and Uruguay on an tiny budget and with five small 300w fresnel lights on standard 16mm using my trusty Aaton. This is from a VHS tape of the original broadcast so the quality is pretty low but I think it’s still possible to see what an amazingly talented director David was as well as being a pleasure to work
